The inauguration took place 14th october 2021 in a presentation ceremony which, among the customers and friends of Bàsic Mercat, was attended by the Sales Manager - Breitling Iberia, Álvaro Ríos Ruiz and the president of GRG group, Joan Roca who has been excited to be able to offer a new retail experience with one of the most prestigious watch brands: “the new Breitling space in Bàsic Mercat is an urban design concept in which you can exploring the brand’s collections in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere ”.
In an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, guests were able to enjoy the essence of the brand; a perfect combination of luxury and functionality. With more than 135 years of history, Breitling continues to be one of the leading watch brands with current, dynamic and technologically innovative proposals. In the words of those responsible for the Swiss watch brand, "with the new design of our stores we are respecting our heritage and opening the doors to a whole new generation of Breitling enthusiasts."
On collaboration and beyond business strategy, for Breitling this is "an invaluable alliance." The corner, retro-modern style, has a space of 35 m2 that houses the different collections for men and women of Breitling: Chronomat, Professional, Navitimer, Superocean Heritage, Avenger, Superocean, Top Time, Premier and Aviator 8 are already on display today at Bàsic Mercat as part of a purchasing concept that seeks to offer a new experience to the buyer. Called Shop-In-Shop, Bàsic Mercat seeks to offer its customers a space for emotional engagement and a setting for the most special purchases.
The space, inspired by a mid-20th century industrial building, is a tribute to an era when the brand’s watches and smart measuring tools gave Breitling an unparalleled reputation. The attractive decoration and furniture offer a spacious atmosphere, and at the same time intimate and comfortable. In addition, the corner is decorated with a custom graffiti mural for Breitling and drawn by Barcelona’s urban artist Joel Arroyo, complying with a characteristic feature of the brand’s most iconic outlets. In this sense, the president of GRG group, Joan Roca, explained that it is based on the industrial style that characterizes the design of Breitling’s flagship stores today, an open concept that invites customers to enter.
With this new retail strategy, both the Breitling watch brand and the Bàsic Mercat jewelery and watchmaker, located on Avinguda Meritxell 50, aim to offer their customers a unique experience.
